Engagement Summary
B.C.’s Minister of Agriculture, Lana Popham, announced the formation of an independent committee to lead a public engagement process and provide recommendations to the provincial government to revitalize the ALR and the ALC.
Citizens were invited to read a discussion paper prior to completing an online survey.
The Advisory Committee is reviewing the ideas and feedback received at stakeholder consultation meetings as well as written submissions (via mail or email) and survey responses in determining recommendations to the Minister.

- 14,450 visits to Agricultural Land Reserve engagement site
- 2,366 online surveys were completed
- 9 face-to-face stakeholder meetings were held
- 271 individual submissions were received
Input leads to action:
The results from the online feedback form, written submissions and face-to-face- meetings have been compiled and can be found in the What the Committee Heard Report. An Interim Report and a Final Report to the Minister of Agriculture has also been posted.
