Promoting Unbiased Policing
Engagement Summary
The Province sought input to help develop guiding principles and standards to promote and ensure equality in the delivery of policing services in B.C. The Province committed to establishing these standards in response to a recommendation from the Missing Women Commission of Inquiry (MWCI), however this work also draws on the themes and findings of other inquiry and review processes across Canada.
Citizen were invited to participate through an online questionnaire or by emailing written submissions.

- 8 stakeholder submissions
Input leads to action:
All feedback and input collected has been summarized in a What We Heard Report. The Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General will consider the feedback in developing BC Provincial Policing Standards in 2018.
