Engagement summary
Land use planning supports preservation of cultural values, healthy ecosystems, and opportunities for economic activities by setting broad strategic direction for plan areas — providing clarity for ‘what’ can occur ‘where’ on land and water. It is a transparent and inclusive process that can be modified over time to address changing needs.
The TRT-B.C. Tlatsini Planning Project is one part of a generational opportunity to establish a foundation for strong partnerships between First Nations, government, and industry. It will encourage investment and sustainable economic growth while conserving watershed integrity critical for wild salmon, wildlife, and cultural resilience.
Before starting the questionnaire, we encourage you to visit the project webpage to learn more about the project. Engagement with interested parties and the public will occur at key stages to ensure local values and priorities are identified and considered in the land stewardship planning process. Updates and future engagement opportunities will be posted on the project webpage.
