To improve access to legal services for British Columbians, the Ministry of the Attorney General is planning to streamline how legal service providers are regulated. These include:

• Lawyers
• Notaries
• Licensed paralegals

The Ministry has drafted an intentions paper that outlines the proposed reforms and is looking for feedback from the public and key partners.

Feedback will be accepted until 4 pm on November 18, 2022.

All input will help inform potential legislation to modernize legal professions regulation. A short report summarizing the feedback will be published this winter.
