Over 14% of British Columbia is provincial parks, making BC Parks the 3rd largest parks system in North America! BC Parks are defined by rugged coastlines, majestic snow-capped mountains, ancient old growth forests, alpine meadows complete with blooming wildflowers, and vast grasslands. When you visit a park and protected area you are swept up by the sounds of birds chirping around you, ocean waves crashing against rocks, or wind whistling through the grasslands.
The BC Parks blog is your space to learn about the conservation projects conducted to protect parks, volunteer activities to make parks more accessible and sustainable for years to come, a behind the scenes look at the hard work done by BC Parks rangers, and a great place to learn about new ways to experience and enjoy BC Parks.
BC Parks regularly shares blog posts from our BC Parks team and volunteer groups; please feel free to share the posts with your friends and family so we can spread the word of all the great work done in protecting BC’s parks and protected areas!
If you have a great experience or story to tell from a BC Park, send us an email and you could be featured as a Guest Blogger!
